Old Farm Veterinary Hospital opened its doors in the Fall of 2000. In 2008, Dr. Derek Wilson joined Old Farm to make it his own. He believed the best way to serve the pets of the Frederick community was to take the time to provide the best care for his patients and their pet parents.
Transforming the way quality care is delivered to its patients, Old Farm attained AAHA Accreditation for the first time in 2009. Fewer than 15% of all veterinary hospitals in the US have this honor. AAHA-accredited practices are evaluated on stringent standards that encompass all aspects of veterinary medicine—from pain management and patient care to team training and medical recordkeeping. AAHA’s standards are continuously updated to keep accredited practice teams at the forefront of the profession.
In 2014, Dr. ‘DJ’ Hiltner, formerly a veterinary assistant, came back and joined the veterinary team. Together, they have served Frederick, Maryland, and surrounding communities and, with the help of an amazing team of Registered Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Service Personnel, have made Old Farm Veterinary Hospital where you can be confident your pet receives the best medical care.
